About Janara Khassenova

Originally from Kazakhstan.

​

Studied  at Moscow State Conservatory and completed her postgraduate studies there.

​

Teachers: Mikhail Voskresensky, Aida Isakova, Sally Pinkas, Eda Shlyam

While in the United States, she completed an Artist Diploma Program in Piano Performance from the Longy School of Music.

​

She has performed as a soloist and with chamber ensembles and orchestras in countries of the former Soviet Union, Italy, Greece, United Kingdom and the United States.

​

Janara collaborates frequently with various musicians in a variety of projects and regularly performs in a piano 4-hand duo with pianist Ellina Blinder. She is currently a faculty at Bard College-Conservatory of Music Preparatory Division and teaches piano in New York City.

 

Janara Khassenova has been serving as the artistic advisor for NTDTV since 2014, and hosted an art TV series “Piano Talks”.
