My daughter Rinchen studied for 6 years under Janara’s attentive instruction at Bard Prep when she was 6 years old. Janara’s musicianship is of the highest quality, both as a teacher and as a performer. She nurtures a strong appreciation of classical music in her pupils and builds their techniques through repertoires. In a short few months, my daughter’s repertoires, techniques and performances achieved a quantum leap. The repertoire assigned has kept her interested, challenged her and gave her pleasure in playing. Rinchen now studies piano at the Yehudi Menuhin School of Music in U.K. and comes back every year to play for Janara. Without Janara, Rinchen would not be the musician she is today.
